The US Custom Camaro casting was the very first of the orginal Ten cars released by Mattel in June of 1968. Later in 1968, six additional castings were released. This first set of 16 castings has become known by collectors as the Sweet-16. The Camaro is also the casting that Mattel used to design and build all Hot Wheels from.
